Yogi re-entered the ring and in just 3 months of being shown was awarded:
  • March 25, Group 1 Guy Jeavons.
  • March 27, Group 3 Chuck Herendeen.
  • April 9, Group 4 Denys Janssen.
  • April 11, Group 2 Edna Gonzales
  • April 18, Group 1 (entry 102) Skip Stanbridge.
  • May 7, Group 3 Fred Heal.
  • May 29, Group 2 George McMurray (breeder Judge).
  • May 30, Group 4 Skip Stanbrodge.
  • July 4, Group 3 Enrique Filippini.

Took the summer off and:

  • September 4, Group 3 Walter Pinsker.

  • September 5, Group 3 Fran Minter.
  • October 30, Group 1 and Best Bred By Exhibitor John Reeve-Newson.

  • November 27, National Specialty Award of Merit.

Yogi was ranked the number 1 Minpin in Canada on October 9, 2004 when the AKC Eukanuba invitations were issued. Patapin also received this honor in 2003, the first year that Canadian Minpins were included in this prestigious show.
 
Five Patapin puppies received their championships:
  • Ch Patapin Ambre Precieuse (Wasabi) multi BPIG and Multi group placer.
  • Ch Patapin Coeur Vaillant (Newton) multi BPIG and multi Group placer.
  • Am Ch Patapin Reh-Pin Honey of a Gem (Honey) 3 majors and BOS at a Minpin Specialty.
  • BPISS BPIS Ch Patapin Tias Grand Finalee (Lee) Group 2 and BPIS under Carmen Haller at his second show. Lee finished in 3 shows, going BOW, WD, BPISS and Sweepstakes BOS at the 2004Canadian National Specialty.
  • Malaysian Ch Patapin Better than Cash (Cash). Cash is coming home in 2005 to contribute to our breeding program!!!! A huge thankyou to my good friend Denning!!!
Three show prospect puppies ventured out into the world:
  • Patapin Belle Roselyne to Francoise Allard in Quebec.
  • Patapin Precious Cargo (Jazz) to Yvette Ursuilak in Calgary.
  • Patapin ??? (Zoie) to Isabelle Brunette in Montreal.
I am starting two puppies in 2005:
  • Patapin Sunshine Express and Patapin Talk the Talk (Gabby)
The Patapin natural eared goal has begun:
  • Patapin Spot Marks the Mouse is well on his way to his championship with 4 points in just 3 shows (he took Breed over Specials).
New Arrivals from top quality bloodlines:
  • Ch Aztex Cameo Appearance from Aztex. Cameo finished quickly and has lots to contribute to our breeding program. A huge thankyou to Chris Smith.
  • Am Ch Labelle Walkin’ on Sunshine. Walker is a proven producer of outstanding hackney and we are currently expecting two of his litters (Pearl and Sparkle). A huge thankyou to Laurie Chism.
Patapin finished the year off at the Canadian National Specialty on November 27, 2004, under Judge Maxime Beam:
  • Best of Opposite Sex – Ch Patapin Diamond Gem (well done Susan!!).
  • Best of Winners – Ch Patapin Tias Grand Finalee.
  • Winners Dog – Ch Patapin Tias Grand Finalee.
  • Best Puppy in Specialty Show – Ch Patapin Tias Grand Finalee.
  • Sweepstakes Best of Opposite Sex and Winners Male- Ch Tias Grand Finalee.
  • Award of Merit – Multi Group winning and multi BPISS Ch Patapin Yogi Bear.
